2017-June: Host organization VU Amsterdam (NL)

The second FRAGNET workshop was held in Amsterdam from June 26-30, 2017. Workshops were held in the new research building O|2 at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Day 1: Progress presentations of all the FragNet ESRs.

Day 2: Talks by practitioners on synthesis, hit and lead optimization, ADME‐tox.

Day 3-5: Drug Discovery Simulation. The ESRs were grouped into three drug discovery teams. They participated in a simulation of the drug discovery process. To carry this out, they had to plan and execute all the stages in drug discovery. These involved synthesis, optimization and ADME. At the end, they had to report to a committee and convince them of a promising lead to go into clinical trials.
